Fern Ridge Storm - landscape
A bank of late winter storm cells lineup to fill the Fern Ridge Reservoir. The sun is close to setting so it casts a sidelight to emphasize the rain shower. This iconic Elmira, OR barn in the Fern Ridge area of the southern Willamette Valley stands out in the sun’s spotlight. The City of Veneta selected this photo as the Fern Ridge area’s March 2011 image for their website. This image can be found in landscape and portrait formats. In January 2012 this image received a Honorable Mention Award in the 4C’s (Columbia Council of Camera Clubs) competition.
