Wire Pass Slot Canyon

Wire Pass Slot Canyon

In northern Arizona is a very unique phenomenon called slot canyons that are carved in the sandstone by water, sand, rocks and wind. The Wire Pass Slot Canyon is rougher than the Antelope Canyons, but smoother than the Buckskin Gulch. There is less debris in the canyon floor so when the rains come and rage through this canyon, the smaller rocks can pound the surfaces of the canyon which leaves them rougher than other similar slot canyons.
